Zement on vacation! In January Zement went on vacation to record some sounds different from the usual material with a much smaller set-up. No regular drum, guitar and synth set-up. Just two mics in the room and hit the record button: Lettings things go, lettings things flow and letting things grow. Listen to each other and talking through sound. Getting to know each other differently musicwise. All music on this recordings was freely improvised. It was the starting point session for the new Zement studio record, which will be released someday next year. To get in the mood. This tape is special. You can hear long freeform improvisations which require time and space. But they´re definitely worth the trip!
If you don’t come away with a half dozen new bands to follow then you’re not listening close enough. Every volume is worth it for the opportunity of discovery alone, but the cause makes them even better. Psychic Lemon, Papir, and Acid Rooster are true gems. scott
